Sunday!
Lazy day really – Apart from finally making up the second batch of plum jam.
I enjoyed a bit more crocheting in the comfort of the fire… This is Ruby’s shawl that I started the other day – (not quite one ball in)
These are the progressions on the other two I am also doing –
I also finally took some snaps of the rocks that came back out of the tumbler – this time polished up beautifully!
It’s lovely to see a little bit more colour out in the garden – a hint of spring. I get all excited and keen to jump into the garden – then the weather will turn feral on me again – it is after all, the last month of winter, so I have to try to keep that in mind!
Anyway – here are a couple of pretties for you!
Cheers!
We had some lovely homemade plum wine last night…very tasty. Have you ever made it?
Your shawls are looking great, love the multi colored one
No… I haven’t made wine before – only the liqueur!
I like that multi-coloured one too… a few people seem to have their eye on that one! lol
Gorgeous photos; the shawls are beautiful and so are the rocks. What kind of rock tumbler do you have? I am interested in getting started. Is it loud? Thanks for any info you may share. 🙂
Hi Teri – thank-you! I really enjoy the rock tumbler – esp with so many awesome rocks around here. Mine is a Lortone – (Hopefully I attached that link correctly!)(Mine is the 33B model)
Its really not too noisy – just constant. We had it in the back room, but then moved it into the shed. Its a long process from start to finish – about 4 weeks. Talking to people in local rock clubs is good. I changed my final polish on advice of locals and the rocks went from semi shiny to highly polished.
Its a great little hobby! Let me know if you jump into it!
Thanks for the info; I will try to find a group. They are so beautiful when they are polished up. Love your blog!
no worries! Good luck! & thank-you re- comments about the blog! 🙂 Glad you enjoy
