Calendar for Next Year

Hello – It’s 10.30pm and I just had dinner! The night kinda got away from me. So instead of garden updates or Friday’s Footprints, I am going to share my calendar project with you.

January – Sisters Beach

I made a calendar last year, mostly as Christmas presents, but I also was asked to put them in a local shop & I also sold a few at our beachside market.

February – Good Food from Good Tasmanian Soil

It went pretty well, so I thought I would do another one this year. Naturally I am totally not organised, hence being so late with things tonight – the company I used finally had a sale on making calendars that ends Sunday, and I am busy all day tomorrow. So it needs to be sorted now!

March – Fossil Bluff

It took me an eon of agonising tonight to put 12 images together!!

4-april
April – Fungi from Waratah & Dip Falls

Its kind of meant to be local but I have stretched the borders of ‘local’ a little in a couple of cases

June – High Tide at Fossil Bluff

I think throughout the upcoming year I will have to try to get specific photos for a calendar – actually think “Calendar” at the time of taking the photo.

7-july
July – Sunset over Flowerdale

August – Driftwood on Black River Beach

Where as I have a lot of photos that I like – its trying to think what a stranger/tourist/person buying a present would like hanging on their wall all year.

September – After the Rain at Anniversary Bay

And annoyingly I have just remembered right now while typing this that I will need another image that will be put on the front of the calendar!!!! (Rolls eyes)

10-october
October – Tulip Time at Wynyard

November – The Tangled Mossy Forests at Cradle Mt NP

I tarted up a photo in ‘Fusion’ to get my last rainbow shot a bit more dramatic than it was before… 🙂

So thats the main lot…

OK – Just went through my very long ‘shortlist’ and here are some possibilities for the front cover – feel totally free to write and tell me your opinion!!!

Cheers and I will catch you up on garden stuff tomorrow!

A happy traveller through life! Right now living in NW Tasmania with a gorgeous Nurse-Husband, a fool of a Siamese Cat and several chickens. We love our fairly simple lifestyle of growing a lot of what we eat and enjoying the stunning surrounds of our little patch.

  1. The man fern for the front cover and all of it is beautiful. Please consider selling some to us in the States.

    1. Thanks Tracy! I think it will be between the butterfly and the man fern!! I have half the day to think about it!!
As I mentioned above, I hadn’t thought about how to distribute further than the local area… but I will look into it for sure if people are interested… mostly have to check postage rates as from here it could tip the cost over into being a bit much – but stay tuned and thank-you for your interest!! 🙂

    1. Thanks Judy!! The butterfly is a vibrant image!! Who knows…. maybe you will see one in your Christmas stocking?? (calendar not butterfly)

  2. I think the very bottom one if you are most likely selling to tourists since it is a beautiful beach picture. It seems like the beach is a big focal point. However, the butterfly picture is just beautiful. Actually, they all are. You just live in a place with so many beautiful and interesting things to see.

    1. Thanks Jennifer!! It will probably come down to between the fern and the butterfly!! Will choose later this arvo! But I agree… I do like that beach shot!! At the very least it should go on one of my greeting cards! 🙂

  3. I love the butterfly, but they are all so beautiful. You have very hard decisions to make with all the wonderful pictures you take. One of my favorites that I remember is a picture of the ocean where you rounded out the edges and it looked round like the globe – like you could walk off the edge of the earth. It was so fascinating to look at. Beautiful calendar choices.

    1. Hi Janet! Glad you liked my choices! I think the photo you are referring to would be one I took with the fisheye lens over at Black River beach! They were fun. I think those might have been taken the year before and I had limited my choices to photos I had taken in the past year – not that it matters, but it takes a LOT of time going back through photos! LOL (Do they have an AA equiv. for excessive photo snappers??)
      Have a lovely day!

  4. I am torn between the butterfly and the man fern. All of your pictures are great by the way – very professional looking. Love reading about what you are up to. You are coming on spring and we are in fall with hurricane season. A really bad boy names Matthew is blowing up the coast of the USA. We will mainly get rain and some wind where I live but the coastline will get kicked pretty badly.

    1. Thanks Beverly – I like those two as well…
oooo – yes I have been watching Matthew to see what he is up to!! Really hoping damage will be minimal and he moves off soon! Scary thing hurricanes!
Glad you are mostly out of the way – just in for some “Tassie weather” for a bit 🙂
Although today is AMAZINGLY sunny gorgeous and no wind!! 🙂 YAY

    1. Thank-you for letting me know which one you liked!! re buying… I haven’t thought along lines of distributing outside the local area, but if people are interested, I’ll look at options how! 🙂

  5. Oh I do love your photos! They will make a great calendar too! If I still had the shop I would take some!
I like the Sisters Beach photos for the cover.
    Cheers
    Cindy

  6. go with the butterfly…you have nature with water, rocks, food and a butterfly

all of your photos are gorgeous, each having just tease of delight. makes me want to see them up close and personal

    1. Thanks Linda!! Glad you like them – I agree re butterfly. I have now decided to go with it. Its a nice vibrant front to the whole thing!
I haven’t ordered them yet!! They weren’t on as much of a sale as I thought now wondering if I should wait a bit longer to see if they drop the price!! Hard to know! Never mind, I have the whole afternoon to think about it! Have a lovely day!
