Recently I bought some amazing hand made raspberry chocolate.
It was sooooo good, but way out of my budget to buy in the quantities I need… so I thought I would try to make some.
My ten minute internet search didn’t help much – just kept giving me dessert recipes.
Time to go it alone!

I was kind of following a chocolate liqueur recipe that I have… (Which is excellent by the way)

Once I had some chocolate in the mini cups I spooned a bit of raspberry into them
What didn’t fit into the cups I put in a tray and swirled the remaining raspberry in.
Of course – the chocolate set, but the raspberry remained runny.
Mind you – if you throw the whole thing in your mouth at once, end of runny problem and it tasted pretty good!
So I need to rethink it and maybe spend more than 10 minutes with google.
Not all was lost. I re-purposed the block into chocolate muffins.

Now what to do with the rest of the chocolate???
I certainly had a good time cleaning up the dishes anyway!

Hope your week started out brilliantly!
Cheers

With the comments you’ve made about cooking while you were growing up, you have come a long, long way. You must be a great cook now. You’re food always looks so yummy.
lol – I tend to stick with what I know… with a few experiments along the way! Since I moved to Tas, I really have learned to cook a lot more from scratch. Growing your own ingredients is more inspiring for me too! (I mostly read recipes a bit better now! lol)
All my family cook well! (Even have a sister-chef!!) My Nanna was an expert at throwing stuff together and making wonderful meals she called “Scram” π
I have had the kind of chocolate bars that you are trying to recreate. Lindt makes a dark chocolate and pineapple that is so yummy. Anyway, I think you might have better luck with first dehydrating the fruit. That might narrow down your google research anyway. Good luck!
Thanks Cari! I reckon you are right. I have also read ‘powdered’ so thats a whole other thing to look into!
I am sure it will be worth it π
Mind you… I have eaten quite a few of my failures! π
(mmmmmm dark choc & pineapple…)
How about swirling the chocolate in the cups to make a @bole” then filling and putting more chocolate on top. Just an idea as I’ve never tried this…
I thought I could possibly add more chocolate to the top and let set… so they have like a liquid centre! If I want to confess tho, the way I keep eating them I will have none to experiment on soon!! (and I am going to have to seriously get back into my walks!!) π
