Hello! How is everyones weekend going?
I woke to the sound of rain bucketing down, so I didn’t hurry out of my warm bed.
I then managed to stay in my nightie for a disgracefully long time today before finally stirring myself to get dressed! It was lovely!
I did have a couple of outside tasks – I didn’t tarry tho! It just wasn’t nice to be out there.
I managed to bake a chocolate cake – slightly sad I discovered I had no icing sugar to finish the job! Oh well.
A rest day was great after hauling all those rocks about and digging. So I am not going to whinge and complain about the continual bucketing rain!

A bit of lingering is good for the soul. The cake will still be tasty but if you must top it, there’s always jam!
lol – shock horror!! I am running out of jam too! Time to dive into the freezer and pull out a tub of frozen plums!! 🙂
Nothing like chocolate cake to brighten a rainy day! If you have some milk, coconut, butter and brown sugar you can make a nice broiled topping, german chocolate cake style 😉 Jam sounds yummy too!

Or….you could just pour some cream over it (or milk)…my husband loves it that way
Or ice cream??? Never a shortage of ice cream in this household (My husband has an addiction)
Probably by the time I work something out the cake will be gone. haha Its already half disappeared!!!
Speaking of cake… mmmmmm is midnight a bad time to scoff uniced chocolate cake?? 😀

LOL – I am going to have to admit that I am not that adventurous with my chocolate cake!!! (And how cross at myself was I today by going to the supermarket and failing to remember the icing sugar?? hee hee)

Thanks for the feedback on the little bridge!! I wasn’t sure if it would look silly or not, but I quite like it in its new spot. I even use it quite a bit when dashing down the back! ooooo I am glad we don’t have HOA’s!!!! I love just getting ideas and trying them out!! 🙂
