Getting There…

Hello!!
You’re probably going to be miffed at me…
I went and visited Ruby yesterday. She was taking a bit of a nap and I struggled with my conscience about waking her up… but I hadn’t seen her for so long I went in and (gently) woke her.
Well… apparently she wasn’t sleeping, only resting haha
She was very pleased to see me, so we put the kettle on and had a cuppa.
Since she was feeling quite chipper, I took her for a drive up to our place so she could check out the tree and what was happening. We then spent some cosy time inside in front of the fire which she loved!!
Here’s where you get to be miffed… sorry!! I didn’t take any photos! 🙁

My mad husband came home from his last of three nightshifts and went for a hike (full pack) then proceeded to chop and stack wood! What an effort!

Since I feel like I have spent a couple of days chained to the kitchen and it wasn’t raining today – I donned some fresh gardening clothes and went out to continue moving that tree!!

Look at that!! Nothing left but my shadow!!
I started on the other side of the gate and just worked my way up our fence line pulling out and moving what I could.
Its like a big game of pick-up-sticks but much more fun because you can use an axe!!

Above was from the other day… Below was after I’d finished today… I couldn’t do the same angle as the sun was blasting me!!

I’m trying to convince myself it looks smaller…

I moved a lot of lengths like this today too!!

Jeff’s reduced woodpile…

I am so glad we cleared this area!! All of this I have been able to fling across from the paddock into a nice clear spot. Much easier.

Still daunting. Will need the chainsaw back in again to make headway on some of this pile.

A recap above to make the photo below look better?

Yeah – not bad!!
Ooooo – but I am feeling it tonight! I am going to have bulging muscles by the time this is over!!

I hope your weekend wasn’t too strenuous!!
Cheers!
