Hi there – slow, cool & rainy Sunday for us!
Thought I would have a quick peek at what was happening February last year. This season is waaaaaay behind in comparison!

This time last year I was gobsmacked by a photograph of a potato that sold for over a million dollars. So I had a go at taking my own potato photo – sadly no-one even offered me twenty bucks for it!!

Our cat was still cute (I think) and we were starting to stock up on firewood
And the vegetables just kept on coming!
I dabbled in a bit of selling out the front
Its annoying I just don’t have enough to put out the front yet – my Texas Fund needs topping up!!
And of course there was lots of pretty stuff too!
Hope your weekend has been excellent and relaxing!
Cheers!

Beautiful photos!
I especially like the first picture of your bounty– good lighting (do you remember what you did/ used?)!
Thank you for sharing; I am always inspired!
Good luck on your Texas fund!
Hello! Thank-you!
Re the ‘bounty’ photo – I don’t have details of the camera settings – haven’t been able to find out if they are embedded in the image and if they are how to find the details… but what I suspect lighting wise, is the fact we had really terrible fires raging around us at that time and the days were a constant haze of smoke – hence the sepia/warm even tone. I don’t recommend duplicating that for photography!! 🙂
I will have to get cooking – jams esp to empty the freezer a bit and start selling again.
Thanks for writing and have a lovely day!
What a majestic pic of Pip. Being from Ontario Canada I couldn’t help
but notice the eggs were in an I love Canada blanket….cheers
P.S. I love your blog, it’s a lot of work so here is a big thank you.
You are appreciated and Ruby too.
Thank-you Shirley! My mother in law made that apron for me and gave it to me when they last visited us!
Glad you enjoy the blog – I am enjoying writing it 🙂
Will get back to Ruby soon for a post!
Gorgerous photos and vegetables!! The tigerella
tomatoes were so pretty. It’s frustrating how production can vary so much from year to year, eh? I shared a plot at my friend’s house one year and the whole garden did so poorly that at harvest time I thought the cows got into it and ate all of the carrots and potatoes, only to find out it was just that awful of a year. The next year we had boxes and boxes of potatoes! Just silly. Thank you again for all of your hard work with your photos and blog and have a good time with the jams, Texas is a bit of a way away! 🙂
Thanks Amy!!
Yes – its mad how each season has been so different! Two seasons in a row I couldn’t grow zucchinis!!! Serious! And how easy are they normally?? 🙂
Made a good cooking start today too – and at 1.45am perhaps I better write up this blog and throw myself into bed?? haha
We’re having a “second” winter here on Vancouver Island – snow in December all melted and then- wham! Another foot this weekend? So your veggie patches look pretty spectacular to me-!! Ah summer-I can hardly wait….
lol – I saw some photos from my friend up your way this morning and wow!! It looks amazing and beautiful!!! But I am sure by this stage you are ready for warmer weather! Hot day here – must make a plan of what to do with it 🙂
