Just a quick little post tonight to share with you a project I have been working on for a while.
Since my parents received it in the mail yesterday, I am free now to share and not spoil the surprise!
Its a hardcover, coffee-table like book of photos taken when we were in Japan… and yes, that was a year and a half ago!!
Between one thing and another, its taken me a while to get my act together! First to finish post processing all the photos… then to choose and arrange what images I thought would look best together.
It was an enjoyable process as I got to sit and enjoy reliving the moments – little memories of a fabulous adventure. And I think I enjoyed it more doing it now while we’ve been guest free than trying to fit it in when I was hugely distracted.
You don’t have your family forever – and to be able to share a really special trip like this is a memory to be treasured.
We met lovely people who looked after us so well which made the experience even more amazing. We visited lots of gorgeous gardens, shrines and cities. Everything in its own way unique and enjoyable!
Of course my parents rang straight away after receiving it to tell me they loved it!! Mum is already talking about taking it to show her sewing class ladies π
Anyway, that was just one of the background ‘things’ I had going on that I thought I’d share, since today was a no-photo day and spent with friends and out of the rough weather!
Cheers!
That is a beautiful gift to be cherished! What a fantastic daughter you are π
Thank-you Teri π I enjoyed making it.
What a great gift – where did you get it done?
Thanks Helen! I used Blurb.com – you need to download their book software then you work on arranging all the images before uploading it back to them for printing. They make the process pretty easy and it wasn’t hard to work out how to get the photos in place etc. π
What a brilliant idea- it looks amazing!
Thank-you Hazel! Def. something a bit more personal π (Now I have grand visions of making some hiking photo books lol)
